Really encouraging! Thank you for sharing! I myself am hoping to re-learn the “instrument” of drawing/painting but haven’t practiced in a decade. I know it is in me but it will take a long time to remember the notes and these early days of sketching are scary. Love seeing your work and new ideas captured.
I understand! My daughter just got a sketchbook and is too nervous to start drawing in it because she doesn't want to mess it up and boy can I resonate!! I try to remind myself my sketchbook is like my diary - I don't have to share it with anyone if I don't want to. Lets some of the pressure off! Something just for you <3 how refreshing.
I love this so much! I’ve found myself in a similar phase of my creative career—wanting to experiment with new mediums and having to sit in the messy middle. I personally love your studies, especially the little dock house! Kudos to you and your work.
Thank you Amanda! Yes the sitting in the mess requires such patience - ah it is so humbling isn’t it?! And simultaneously, a necessary part of the process that is often worth the wait!
